Who is behind this site, and who is not
This site is an independent comparison site for coffee tours on the leeward slopes of Hualalai and Mauna Loa. It is not a farm. It grows no coffee, roasts none and pours none, and it is not any of the operators behind the cards: Hala Tree Coffee, Heavenly Hawaiian, Mountain Thunder, Ohana Ranch or Kona Earth. Every booking is made on the operator's own live listing, and this site never touches your payment.
Where the money comes from
Every book button on a tour card, and most links inside the text, leads to a listing on the live booking page that carries this site's partner tag. All fourteen tours compared here, from the Heavenly Hawaiian farm walks to the Wasabi Tours volcano day trip, are sold through that single platform. Reserve a spot after following one of those links and the platform pays this site part of the commission it already collects from the operator. Your total does not change: checkout shows the same price you would get by finding the listing yourself.
Commission on bookings is the only income this site takes. There are no banner ads on any page, no operator has paid for a write-up, and nothing here is sponsored. Should a second network be added later, it will be named on this page before any tagged link appears.
The parts of a Kona coffee trip that earn nothing
Driving the Mamalahoa Highway through the coffee belt costs nothing, and neither does a swim at Kahaluu. The farms named on the tours, from Hala Tree near the shore to Mountain Thunder up on Hualalai, run their own tasting rooms, and buying a bag of beans at the counter is a separate transaction this site plays no part in. Tours sold only operator-direct, with no bookable listing to confirm, do not get cards here. Free and direct options get a fair mention wherever they beat something we could earn on.
What the money never changes
- Inclusion. Every tour on this site had to clear the same bar: a real, currently bookable listing run by an operator that actually runs tours in the Kona coffee belt, with every rating and duration matching the operator's own listing.
- Ranking. No operator can buy a better position, and none has been asked. Order within each category follows review volume, so the most-reviewed tour sits first, something you can check against the figures printed on each card.
- What we say about them. The Volcanoes, Waterfalls and Coffee Farm day-trip carries 478 reviews and the sea turtle and coffee combo carries 4, and both figures appear exactly as the platform publishes them. Where a listing does not state a meeting point, the card says so instead of inventing one.
- What we leave out. Brand-new listings with no reviews yet, near-duplicate mirrors of the same product on a second platform, and tours that fall below the quality floor all exist, but they stay on the bench rather than being dressed up as cards.
How the figures are checked
Every rating and review count on this site is the platform's own published number, read off the live listing at the time it was checked. Nothing is averaged, rounded up or invented. Prices move with the date and the option chosen, so the live listing is always the authority on what a tour costs.
Booking without our links
Every operator is named on its card, so you can track down the company and reserve a seat without this site playing any part. The FAQ and the guides hold the same value whether or not a booking link ever gets clicked.
